University of Pennsylvania

The Daily Pennsylvanian

The Daily Pennsylvanian, founded in 1885, is the independent student newspaper of the University of Pennsylvania. Originally published under the name The Pennsylvanian, the paper has served generations of students, faculty, and staff as a primary source of campus news, city coverage, sports reporting, and student opinion. With the exception of a brief hiatus during World War II, the DP has been published daily since 1894, making it one of the oldest continuously operating college newspapers in the country.
