Haverford
The Clerk
Launched online in 2012, The Clerk is Haverford College’s independent student newspaper, founded with the mission of providing timely, accountable news coverage to the Bi-College community. Editorially free from both the institution and student government, it emphasizes transparency, independence, and civic engagement. In 2013, the paper was honored with the Edmund J. Lee ’43 Memorial Award for its contributions to academic and extracurricular life at Haverford. Guided by values of honesty, integrity, and responsibility, The Clerk fosters open dialogue by offering a community forum for students, faculty, and staff. Today, it remains dedicated to publishing accurate, thought-provoking journalism while training the next generation of student reporters.
