Student journalism plays an important role in giving young voices a platform. Every day, student journalists across Philadelphia are reporting on their schools, communities and the issues that matter most to their peers. Through their work, they are learning how to ask questions, tell meaningful stories and make an impact.
On August 11, PSPA is hosting our Day of Giving, and we are inviting our community to help support the future of student journalism.
The Philadelphia Student Press Association (PSPA) was created to bring together student publications across the region and provide student journalists with the resources, connections and opportunities they need to grow. From workshops and networking opportunities to connecting with professional journalists, PSPA helps students strengthen their skills and build relationships that can last beyond their time in school.
Student newspapers are more than just places where stories are published. They are spaces where students discover their voices, develop confidence and gain real-world experience. For many students, their first article, interview or photo assignment is the beginning of a lifelong passion for storytelling and communication.
Your support during the PSPA Day of Giving helps us continue creating opportunities for student journalists throughout Philadelphia. Donations allow us to expand programming, provide valuable resources and build a stronger community for the next generation of journalists.
Whether you are a former student journalist, a journalism professional, an educator or someone who believes in the importance of student voices, you can help make an impact.
Join PSPA on August 11th and help us Fuel the Future of Student Journalism. Together, we can continue supporting student storytellers and ensuring their voices are heard.
Donate today and help support the future of student journalism.
