About the event
Join us for the Tri-College Journalism Panel on Thursday, November 6 at 7:00 PM in Founders Hall!
Hosted by The Haverford Clerk, The Bi-College News, and The Swarthmore Phoenix, the panel will feature a conversation with accomplished journalists from across the Tri-Co community. Panelists include Clea Benson, a Bryn Mawr alum and Managing Editor at Politico; Don Sapatkin, a Haverford alum and freelance healthcare journalist; and Theodore Gup, a visiting professor at Swarthmore and investigative reporter. The central focus of the panel is the state of journalism and free speech in a shifting sociopolitical landscape. The discussion will center on the role of free speech in the Trump and post-Trump era, with panelists exploring the challenges facing legacy media, the rise of misinformation, and growing concerns over bias in the news.
